Carmen comes to massage therapy with humility, honour and deep curiosity for each of her patient’s lived experiences. She understands that our personal stories affect health and are an important component of the collaborative treatment planning process.

Carmens practice is informed by her background in yoga and holds the perspective that self care is an important key to a balanced lifestyle. She believes massage therapy is a powerful tool in managing the physiological effects of stress and chronic conditions.

She has taken continuing education in chronic pain, persons born with uteruses’ pelvic health and pregnancy massage.

Having been a recreational endurance athlete her entire life, massage therapy has played an important role in keeping her moving in her races and adventures, including maintaining her mental health. She is now thrilled to be a part of the Woodland team, supporting her clients to do the same.
