We are looking for a Medical Office Assistant/Office Manager to join our team!

POSITION: Medical Office Assistant (MOA)/Office Manager

HOURS: Monday to Thursday (with potential to include Fridays) 6:45am to 2pm, potential for overtime pay to cover weekends and evenings as needed.

PAY: The hourly pay for this position is $23/hour with the possibility of overtime pay for working evenings or Saturdays when needed.

TYPE: Part-Time Permanent - 36.25 hours/week.

LOCATION: East Vancouver, BC

JOB SUMMARY:

kinesiologists in a multi-disciplinary clinic based in East Vancouver.
We are dedicated to providing high quality health care services to the
East Vancouver Community and are in need of a motivated and organized
individual who would like to join our team. This is an opportunity
with the potential for growth into an office manager role for the
right individual. Experience in the service industry an asset. A great opportunity for a transition into the healthcare realm.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Front desk reception duties:

- Answering phone calls, greeting clients

- Updating electronic client records, insurance forms and
correspondence with medical offices in compliance with Canadian
Privacy Law

- Booking clients using the EMR software “Jane”

- Use of EMR software “Jane” for taking appointments and billing

- Bookkeeping – including tracking daily receipts, direct billing to
ICBC, WorksafeBC and private insurance providers

- General Office duties: maintaining tidiness of front reception area and clinic

- Laundry – towels/sheets, ***compliance with COVID-19 cleaning protocols

Offsite Office Manager Duties:

- Maintain communication and be available to liaise with front desk staff and all clinicians for scheduling and troubleshooting issues during clinic open hours 7am-7pm Monday to Friday and 9am-3pm Saturday.

- Ensure all reception shifts are covered and arrange shift accommodation for reception staff as needed.

- Communicate with clinic owners when problems arise as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Excellent organization, communication and problem solving skills

- Team player who is open and accountable

- Good written and verbal English

- Confident, polite and friendly

- Able to work in a fast paced work environment

- High school Diploma or equivalent

- MOA experience preferred

- Competence with electronic medical records and general computer
literacy

- Bondable

- Clear Criminal records check

- Must be compliant with Canadian Privacy Law
